Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ListerPilot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

ListerPilot is a multi-tenant listing management platform for Etsy sellers. It provides a two-stage SEO engine (deterministic keyword allocation followed by AI content generation), bulk optimization, listing creation from product photos, safe push automation with mandatory review, and 30-day performance analytics. The Service interacts with the Etsy API v3 on your behalf via OAuth 2.0 authorization to read shop data and write approved changes back to your listings.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate account information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
  • You must comply with Etsy's terms of use and API terms when using our Service
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service

4. Etsy API Usage

When you connect your Etsy shop, you authorize ListerPilot to read your listings, shop sections, shipping profiles, taxonomy properties, listing images, and sales receipts. When you approve changes, ListerPilot writes updated titles, tags, descriptions, materials, product dimensions, and attributes back to Etsy. New listing creation uploads images and sets taxonomy, shipping, and section assignments. You can revoke this access at any time through your Etsy account settings.

ListerPilot enforces the following safety guardrails on all push operations:

  • Daily push queue limited to 10 listings per batch
  • Top 10% performing listings (by 30-day views) are automatically protected from re-optimization
  • 60-day cooldown between pushes to the same listing
  • Force-push (bypassing cooldown) requires admin or owner role
  • Workspace-level master toggle can disable all live pushes
  • Every push batch is audit-logged with listing IDs and timestamps

Despite these safeguards, you are ultimately responsible for reviewing and approving all changes before they are pushed to Etsy.

5. AI-Generated Content

ListerPilot uses a two-stage system to generate listing content: a deterministic keyword allocator assigns keywords from a curated bank based on product type, dimensions, and shop section, then an AI model (OpenAI or Anthropic, depending on configuration) generates titles, descriptions, and tags incorporating those keywords. While we enforce strict Etsy tag rules (exactly 13 tags, no duplicates, no substring overlap, maximum 20 characters per tag), AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before publishing it to Etsy.

6. Subscription & Billing

ListerPilot is offered as a paid subscription service with monthly billing. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis at the rate corresponding to your selected plan (Starter, Professional, or Enterprise).

  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled
  • You may cancel at any time — your access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are issued for partial billing periods
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' written notice — existing subscribers retain their rate until the next renewal after the notice period
  • Early access members who lock in a rate retain that rate for as long as their subscription remains active

7. Usage Limits

Each subscription tier includes monthly limits on listing creations and listing edits. When you reach your monthly limit, additional creations or edits are unavailable until your next billing cycle. Usage counters reset on your monthly billing date.

We reserve the right to enforce fair-use limits on API-intensive features (such as background removal and AI vision scanning) to maintain service quality for all users. Current limits are documented in your plan terms, account notice, or written onboarding materials.

8. Competitor Monitoring

ListerPilot's competitor monitoring feature collects publicly available data from third-party Etsy shops that you designate for analysis. This data includes listing tags, titles, and keyword usage visible on public Etsy pages.

You are responsible for using competitive intelligence in compliance with all applicable laws and Etsy's terms of service. ListerPilot does not encourage or facilitate copying another seller's content, intellectual property, or trade secrets. Competitor data is provided for informational keyword gap analysis only.

9. Data Caching & API Compliance

ListerPilot complies with Etsy's API Terms of Use regarding data freshness. Listing data displayed in the dashboard is refreshed at least every 6 hours. Other Etsy content is refreshed within 24 hours. We do not cache or display Etsy data that is staler than permitted by Etsy's API Terms.

10. Prohibited Use

  • Using the Service to violate Etsy's terms of service
  • Attempting to access other users' data or workspaces
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service
  • Using the Service to send spam or misleading content
  • Automated scraping or excessive API usage beyond normal operation

11. Limitation of Liability

ListerPilot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: lost sales, listing suspensions, SEO ranking changes, or any actions taken by Etsy in response to changes made through our Service.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
